My name is Alan and I am a Course Advisor for IT Masters in partnership with Charles Sturt University. Some of you may have already spoken with me and wondered what a typical day in my role looks like. I work closely with prospective students to find the right postgraduate or graduate certificate program for their career goals. I guide you through course options, entry requirements, credit for prior learning, and enrolment processes — all while making sure you know about flexible online pathways, industry-recognised qualifications, fees, FEE-HELP, and support services. My aim is to make your study journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Here are some of the most common questions I get from students:
1. Which graduate and master’s courses do you offer?
We offer a range of graduate certificates—such as Cyber Security, Networking & Systems Administration, Cloud Computing & Virtualisation, Applied Digital Marketing, and Computing (Career Transition) – as well as postgraduate degrees like Master of Cyber Security, Master of Networking & Systems Administration, Master of Cloud Computing & Virtualisation, Master of Project Management, and Master of Applied Digital Marketing. All come from Charles Sturt University, delivered online via IT Masters.
2. How many intakes are there per year?
Many programs, including Master of Cyber Security and Networking & Systems Administration, offer five intakes annually – giving you flexible start times. Those including:
- Session 1 (202530): 3 March 2025 – 20 June 2025
- Term 2 (202545): 26 May 2025 – 15 August 2025
- Session 2 (202560): 14 July 2025 – 31 October 2025
- Term 3 (202575): 1 September 2025 – 19 December 2025
- Session 3 (202590): 17 November 2025 – 13 February 2026
- Session 1 (202630): 2 March 2026 – 19 June 2026
3. Are these programs accredited or recognised?
Yes – these degrees are awarded by Charles Sturt University and meet Australian Qualifications Framework standards. Many are also accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
4. What about credit for prior learning or industry certifications?
You can get recognition for prior industry certifications – over 200 are eligible for credit, which can reduce study time and cost.
A Little About Me
In my spare time I love to keep active and busy – I enjoy going for long runs, hitting the gym and have a keen interest in health and nurtriton. I enjoy a scroll through TikTok for meal recipes! I am IT Masters resident Irish employee and enjoy chatting to my colleagues about my home country, the ‘Emerald Isle’.
