You’ve already completed university studies

Congratulations! With a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate qualification you can apply for our Graduate Certificate or Master Degrees.

You can also earn subject credits (also known as Recognition of Prior Learning, or RPL) if you have completed study at a postgraduate level which you believe covered the same content as a subject on the course you are considering studying.

You’ve completed industry certifications

You could be eligible to apply for a Graduate Certificate, which is one-third of a Masters degree.

You can also earn subject credits (also known as Recognition of Prior Learning, or RPL) for completed industry certifications covered by the course (for example, you have your Cisco CCNP, Microsoft MCSA, or PMI PMP) to reduce your study time.

Three Free Short Courses = University Credit

You can complete any three of our eligible free short courses and earn one subject credit (conditions here). You can view our entire library of free short courses here, with more added every few months.

Apply for Subject Credit (Recognition of Prior Learning)

There are three ways you can earn credit for one or more subjects towards a Graduate Certificate or Masters Degree:

1. Industry Certifications – relevant industry certifications covered by the course (eg. Cisco CCNP, Microsoft MCSA, or PMI PMP).
2. Postgraduate Credits – Postgraduate subjects completed which covered the same content as a subject on the course you are considering studying.
3. ACS (Australian Computer Society) Certifications – ACS certifications are awarded based on a thorough assessment of your existing skills and competencies, so there are no exams or studies required.
4. IT Masters Free Short Courses – Complete three or more short courses and be eligible for one industry elective credit

You can apply for credit for up to 50% of any course. Credit for can be claimed before or after you enrol, and current students can claim credit at any time up until graduation.

Apply for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)

Our IT Graduate Certificate courses have been awarded Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) as part of the federal government’s Job-Ready Graduates Package. This means that all Australian Citizens/Residents and NZ citizens are eligible for a discount on all subjects studied in:

• Cyber Security
• Computing (Career Transition)
• Networking and Systems Administration
• Cloud Computing and Virtualisation

But there are limited places available and these are already filling fast.

Commonwealth Supported Places are available to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, and Australian Permanent Residents only. Australian citizens may also be eligible to defer their payments via HECS-HELP, and an additional 10% discount is available for students eligible for HECS-HELP who choose to pay upfront. You may also be eligible to reduce the number of subjects studied with subject credit.

Special intakes to help you ease into postgraduate study

We have created special year-round intakes that will help to support you combine study with a busy work, family and social life. You’ll start with a single subject. Then once you’ve handed in an assessment or two and settled back in to ‘study mode’, you’ll take on a second subject.

A dedicated IT Masters staff member will be on hand to provide extra guidance as you learn the ropes, so you can jump confidently into the rest of your degree.

You can start in any of the six intakes, with subjects on offer from across all of our degrees.

Earn a postgraduate qualification in only 8 months (or less)

If you’ve never finished any university study but have the right professional experience, you can still start your Masters through the Graduate Certificate pathway.

The Graduate Certificate is simply the first 4 subjects of your Masters degree. You don’t pay for or study any extra subjects by completing your Graduate Certificate first, and you end up with two postgraduate qualifications when you finish your Masters.
