Course Information Q&A

Who is the target audience for this course?

The course is aimed at project managers, and anyone who is interested in program management.

Who presents the webinars?

This short course was developed by Brenton Burchmore. Brenton is our senior industry based project management lecturer. He was initially contracted to develop the industry subjects in our Graduate Certificate in Professional Sales but has now branched out to running project management subjects. During 2000 – 2007, Brenton employed and trained a team of project managers for an IT company in Sydney implementing national VPN solutions. He also oversaw the replacement of the business workflow, provisioning and project management software whilst re-engineering all the project-related processes and replacing all policy procedures relating to this. Since then he has provided ad-hoc project management training to national companies like HiFert and ANZ Bank, whilst also managing a number of large scale and long term projects.

Philip Hosking (guest lecturer): Philip has many years’ experience in principal management consulting and program director roles, including establishing and managing enterprise/portfolio program offices. He has delivered multi-million dollar, full life-cycle programs from both a business and IT perspective and we were delighted when he agreed to join us as an industry-based lecturer in project management in 2013. Philip’s qualifications include a Master in Engineering (Systems), Bachelor of Engineering (Aero), and a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training.
